Macro-superlubricity in sputtered MoS2-based films by decreasing edge pinning effect

چکیده
Abstract To date, MoS 2 can only be achieved at microscale. Edge pinning effect caused by structure defects is the most obvious barrier to expand size of structural superlubricity macroscale. Herein, we plan pin edge planes with nanospheres, and then incommensurate formed between adjacent rolling nanoparticles reduce friction. The sputtered film was prepared physical vapor deposition (PVD) in advance. Then enough Cu O nanospheres (∼40 nm) were generated situ plane layers liquid phase synthesis. An (mismatch angle ( θ ) = 8°) before friction coefficient films (5 N, 1,000 r/min) ∼6.0×10 −3 most. During friction, pinned on numerous reduced its decreased Moreover, much more formed, developing macro-superlubricity.

متن کاملUltraviolet detectors in thin sputtered ZnO films.
Sputtering of ZnO is a well-known technique.'9 The application of sputtered thin films of ZnO has mainly been as surface acoustic wave transducers. To our knowledge nobody has yet used these films as detectors for UV radiation. Measurements of the intensity of UV radiation, for example in medical applications in connection with UV irradiation of the skin, are very inaccurate due to the lack of ...
متن کاملEffect of temperature and velocity on superlubricity
We study the effects of temperature and sliding velocity on superlubricity in numerical simulations of the Frenkel-Kontorova model. We show that resonant excitations of the phonons in an incommensurate sliding body lead to an effective friction and to thermal equilibrium with energy distributed over the internal degrees of freedom. For finite temperature, the effective friction can be described...
